Issues of methodology of system approach and mathematical modeling of soil processes have been studied
29.02.2024 / New publicationsThe book "Mathematical Modeling in Soil Science" by Yasin Rustamov, DSc in Engineering, Head of the Laboratory of Applied Probabilistic and Statistical Methods of the Institute of Control Systems (ICS) of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, has been published.
The book deals with the issues of methodology of system approach and mathematical modeling of soil processes, classification of models, their reality, accuracy and generality. Particular emphasis is placed on biogeochemical mathematical models of carbon-nitrogen cycle, dynamics of organic matter in soil. Modern models of water, substance and energy exchange in soil are presented as a basis for calculating water movement, salinity, reclamation, migration of pollutants in soils, particularly agrochemicals.
For the first time in soil science, the book presents a new methodology for calculating soil fertility using reliability theory.
The book is intended for soil science students, as well as for students and specialists in soil science, ecology and natural sciences.
