PICTURE validation and dissemination workshop in Moscow

On 28-30 November, 2012, a conference on EC-financed PICTURE (Policy dialogue in ICT to an Upper level for Reinforced EU-EECA Cooperation”), project was held in A.A. Dorodnicyn Computing Centre of RAS in Moscow. The conference was devoted to the reports on the work on the project throughout the year. Within the framework of the conference, a meeting of work groups that unite representatives of 12 countries of Eastern Europe and Central Asia; the meeting covered the following priorities:

1. Working Group on Policy Dialogue (WG1)
2. WORKING GROUP on COMPONENTS, COMPUTING SYSTEMS AND NETWORKS (WG2)
3. Working Group on Content technologies and information management (WG3)
In the work of the work groups, Azerbaijan was represented by the head of Foreign Relations and Innovations department Babayev T. (WG1 and WG3), Prof. A.Bayramov (Institute of Physics ) and senior research officer of Laboratory 11 Sabziyev E. (WG3). The annual report of the participant countries on the works within the framework of PICTURE project was delivered. The presentation of the Azerbaijan side on the work of NCP ICT Azerbaijan functioning at the Cybernetics Institute was made. The work plan for the next year was drawn, and the projects to be implemented within the framework of PICTURE project with allowance for the next Framework Programme HORIZON 2020 were discussed.
