Academician Ali Abbasov awarded jubilee medal "100th Birthday of Heydar Aliyev (1923-2023)"

A regular meeting of the Presidium of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences was held. The event was attended by ANAS President, Academician Isa Habibbeyli, members of the Presidium, Full and Corresponding Members of ANAS, heads of departments of the Presidium apparatus, young scientists and relevant persons.

At the event, President of ANAS Academician Isa Habibbeyli awarded the jubilee medal "100th Birthday of Heydar Aliyev (1923-2023)" to General Director of the Institute of Control Systems (ICS) of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Academician Ali Abbasov in accordance with the Order of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev dated February 2, 2024.

The main research works of Ali Abbasov, who has important merits in the field of studying and promoting the life and activity of great leader Heydar Aliyev, his rich political heritage, are aimed at solving problems of information technologies, artificial intelligence and control.

At present, the academician is a full member of the International Academy of Sciences, World Academy of Sciences (TWAS), International Informatization Academy and International Engineering Academy, honorary doctor of 5 foreign universities and a member of the Institute of Electronics and Electrical Engineers (IEEE).
