Regular meeting of the Science Council of the Institute of Control Systems was held

A regular meeting of the Science Council of the Institute of Control Systems (ICS) of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Azerbaijan was held on June 27, 2024. The meeting was attended by the members of the council, heads of departments and laboratories, scientists and specialists.

The chairman of the council, General Director of ICS Academician Ali Abbasov opened the meeting, informed the participants of the agenda and gave the floor for the first presentation to the Academic Secretary of ICS Zahra Azizova.

Z.Azizova spoke on the appointment of a new advisor and approval of the dissertation topic for second-year doctoral student Emin Babayev. Discussions on this topic were held and relevant decisions were made.

Then A.Abbasov brought to the attention of the participants of the meeting the issue of the 95th birthday anniversary of Honored Scientist of Azerbaijan SSR, Full Member of ANAS, Laureate of the State Prize of Azerbaijan SSR, Professor Jalal Allahverdiyev, Doctor of Mathematics.

Head of the Laboratory of Intelligent Information Processing Systems of the Institute Associate Professor Gulchin Abdullayeva, PhD in Mathematics, talked in detail about scientific and pedagogical creativity of outstanding scientist Jalal Allahverdiyev, his contribution to Azerbaijani science. Academician Telman Aliev, Corresponding Member of ANAS Professor Kamil Ayda-zade, Professor Kamil Mansimov and Ilgar Mammadov, Doctor of Mathematics, also spoke on the subject and shared their memories. The Science Council made a unanimous decision to raise a petition to the Division of Physics, Mathematics and Engineering Sciences of ANAS on the 95th birthday anniversary of Academician Jalal Allahverdiyev.

At the end, the acting Executive Director of ICS Associate Professor Elkhan Sabziev, Doctor of Engineering, presented the semi-annual report on the results of work in the Institute over 6 months of the current year. E. Sabziev spoke in detail about the obtained scientific results, published research papers, innovation activities, grant projects and personnel training.

The semi-annual report of the Institute was discussed in detail and the relevant decision was made.
