Employee of the Institute of Control Systems of ANAS has given a talk at the University of Tokyo

An employee of the Institute of Control Systems of ANAS, the leading researcher, Assoc. Prof. Anar Rahimov visited the University of Tokyo from 11 December to 18 December, 2017 at the invitation of Masahiro Yamamoto, Professor of the University of Tokyo. The purpose of the visit was to get acquainted with the Graduate School of Mathematical Sciences of the University of Tokyo, expand the scientific relationships and give a talk at a scientific seminar. A. Rahimov gave a talk entitled “An approach to numerical solution of inverse source problems given with non-local conditions”. The talk was dedicated to the development of numerical solution methods of inverse source problems described by a parabolic equation with nonlocal conditions. The obtained new results, their effectiveness, were demonstrated on test problems.

In addition to scientists from the University of Tokyo, Japanese national, well-known scientist and current professor of North Carolina State University in the United States, Ito Kazufumi, also attended the seminar and highly appreciated the results.

Azerbaijani scientist held discussions with the members of the Inverse Problem team on this subject and agreed to collaborate in the future.

Taking into consideration the interest of the participants of the seminar in Azerbaijan, A. Rahimov spoke to the participants (Country Paper Presentation) before the scientific talk and gave information to the participants on our country and his achievements, the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and results obtained at the Institute of Control Systems for the promotion of the Republic.

During the scientific trip, A. Rahimov acquainted with the rich library of the Graduate School of Mathematical Sciences and took an active part at other as well.
