Joint scientific seminar on “Environmental Strategies for Water Resources Conservation” will be held

The joint scientific seminar on “Environmental Strategies for Water Resources Conservation” of the Institute of Control Systems of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, National Aerospace Agency of the Ministry of Defense Industry of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) will be held on August 30, 2024 at 11:00.

The scientific seminar, organized in the run-up to the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) to be held in Baku on November 11-22 this year, will feature academic discussions by leading scientists on the application of artificial intelligence technologies in preventing water pollution, environmental monitoring strategies, innovative solutions, robotics and other topics.

At the seminar, to be held in a hybrid format, guest speaker Professor Jean-Guy Fontaine, Director of the Jean-Guy International Joint Laboratory of Shaoxing University of China, will deliver a talk on the project “Using surface and underwater unmanned and robotic vehicles to conduct intelligent environmental monitoring of large bodies of water” under the PRC's “China National Talent” international grant program.

The seminar will be held in the assembly hall of the Institute of Control Systems.
