
Regular meeting of the Science Council of the Institute of Control Systems was held

A regular meeting of the Science Council of the Institute of Control Systems (ICS) of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Azerbaijan was held on November 25, 2024. The meeting was attended by the members of the council, heads of departments and laboratories, scientists and specialists.
The chairman of the council, General Director of ICS Academician Ali Abbasov opened the meeting, informed the participants of the agenda and gave the floor for the first presentation to the Head of the Education Department of IСS Sevinj Guliyeva, PhD in Mathematics.
- Guliyeva reported on the approval of scientific supervisors, scientific advisors and dissertation topics of doctoral students and dissertationists enrolled in the PhD and doctoral programs at the Institute in 2024. The council members discussed the dissertation topics and made relevant decisions by voting.
Then other issues on the agenda were discussed.
Academic Secretary of ICS Z. Azizova spoke on the issue of appointment of a new scientific advisor of a full-time 3rd year doctoral student Sevinj Guliyeva, PhD in Mathematics. The relevant decisions were made by voting.
On the next issue of the agenda, Head of Laboratory of ICS, Corresponding Member of ANAS Professor Kamil Ayda-zade informed the members of the Council about the implementation of Erasmus program, carried out jointly by the Institute of Control Systems and the Greek University of Thessaly.
Then the reports of the Laboratory of Information Decision Support Systems, Laboratory of Methods of Development of Technical Means of Control Systems, Laboratory of Intelligent Diagnostics and Control Systems for Oil and Gas Production Facilities and Laboratory of Modeling of Technical Objects and Processes for 2024 were presented. The council members held a broad discussion of the reports, an open vote was held, and the reports were evaluated positively.
Then the acting Executive Director of the ICS Associate Professor Elkhan Sabziev, DSc in Engineering, informed the council members on other issues on the agenda of the event.
