Regular meeting of the Science Council of the Institute of Control Systems was held

A regular meeting of the Science Council of the Institute of Control Systems (ICS) of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan was held on February 18, 2025.

General Director of ICS, Chairman of the Science Council, Academician Ali Abbasov opened the meeting and presented the agenda issues to the participants of the meeting.

Speaking on the first issue of the agenda, A. Abbasov talked about the upcoming tasks regarding the celebration of the 90th birthday of the Advisor of ANAS, Academician Telman Aliev and the 65th anniversary of the Institute of Control Systems this year and voiced the relevant assignments. It was unanimously decided to submit a relevant petition to the Division of Physics, Mathematics and Technical Sciences.

The academician also spoke on the celebration of 75th birthday of the Head of Laboratory of the ICS, Honored Teacher Professor Knyaz Mammadov, DSc in Mathematics. He spoke about the diverse academic work, important scientific achievements and noble human qualities of the distinguished scientist, who worked at the ICS for many years. The council members voted and unanimously decided to submit a relevant petition to the Division of Physics, Mathematics and Technical Sciences.

Then, the Head of the ICS Department of Education Sevinj Guliyeva, PhD in Mathematics, spoke on the matter of approval of the individual work plan of the 1st year doctoral studentof the doctoral program of the Institute Asif Aliyev, reinstatement of 2nd year PhD student Zumrud Rakhmanova, approval of new scientific supervisor and thesis topic of the 2nd year PhD student Nusrat Aliyev.

The council members discussed the matter and made relevant decisions by voting.

In conclusion, a number of issues on the agenda were discussed.
