An event devoted to the International Women's Day, March 8, was held at the Institute of Control Systems

07.03.2025 /

An event devoted to the International Women's Day, March 8, was held at the Institute of Control Systems (ICS) of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The event was attended by the administration of the institute, heads of departments and laboratories, young scientists and specialists.

Opening the event, General Director of the ICS Academician Ali Abbasov spoke about the history of this day and the high position of Azerbaijani women in society. Noting the great role of women in the formation and development of moral values of our people, the academician emphasized that as a result of the far-sighted policy implemented by the First Vice-President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva, Azerbaijani women are successfully represented on a global scale. He noted that Azerbaijani women, who received the right to be elected before women from a number of developed countries, have proven their foresight, innovation and progressiveness by taking the first steps in the Muslim East.

A.Abbasov noted that modern Azerbaijani women are not only selfless mothers, but also professional figures of science, talented politicians and public servants that have gained the people's confidence. This activism stems from the historical traditions of Azerbaijani women, as well as the essence of the gender policy pursued in the country, the creation of the necessary conditions for them to equally enjoy all opportunities as full members of society.

In conclusion of his speech, A. Abbasov congratulated the women working at the Institute of Control Systems, and in their person, all women of Azerbaijan on International Women's Day, wishing them health, happiness and success in their future endeavors.

Then the ANAS Advisor, Academician Telman Aliev, Professor Abbas Rzayev, DSc in Engineering, Ilgar Mammadov, DSc in Mathematics, Associate Professor Yasin Rustamov, DSc in Engineering, Tofig Babayev, PhD in Engineering, and researcher Rustam Azimov spoke about the exceptional merits of Azerbaijani women, distinguished in all historical periods by their talent, intelligence, will, devotion to family and Motherland, in preserving our national and spiritual values, their important role in the development of science and education, and congratulated the female employees of the institute.
