
Prof. Ramin Rzayev spoke at the scientific session dedicated to the Day of Science at BSU

A scientific session dedicated to the “Day of Science” of the Republic of Azerbaijan March 27 was held, organized by the Department of Applied Mathematics and Cybernetics of Baku State University (BSU).
At the scientific session, Head of the Laboratory of Decision Support Information Systems of the Institute of Control Systems of the Ministry of Science and Education Prof. Ramin Rzayev, Doctor of Engineering, made a presentation on “Artificial Intelligence: current state and synergetic effect of future use”.
Ramin Rzayev spoke about the possible impact of artificial intelligence on the development of the world economy and its great potential. He said that artificial intelligence in combination with key technologies such as the Internet of Things, Big Data analytics or Blockchain can become the basis of economic development, thus ensuring competitiveness and creating high-tech jobs. The speaker emphasized the importance and relevance of exploring the prospective impact of artificial intelligence technologies on the digital economy. He noted that although artificial intelligence cannot fully replace humans, it can take over many of their functions, increase the efficiency of energy resources utilization and save budgetary funds. The professor noted the need for fundamental applied research in the field of artificial intelligence, training of highly qualified scientific personnel and specialists, creation of new educational programs, development and implementation of laws, standards and ethical rules supporting the development of artificial intelligence technologies.
The session continued with discussions on the topic.
