VI Job Fair at AzUAC – more than 1,500 young people were presented with employment and internship opportunities

On May 1, the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction (AzUAC) hosted the 6th Job Fair. The fair, aimed at supporting the training of specialists meeting the demands of the labor market, was held with the participation of more than 90 world-recognized leading enterprises and organizations with which the University cooperates.
More than 800 vacancies covering the fields of architecture, design, construction, engineering, technology, transportation, finance and services were presented to students and graduates. The main objective of the fair is to create conditions for the successful employment of knowledgeable, skilled and professional young people in the public and private sectors, as well as to provide an information platform on employment opportunities in enterprises.
Speaking at the official part of the fair, AzUAC Rector Prof. Gulchohra Mammadova noted that this fair, which has already become traditional at the university, plays an important role in shaping the future career of students and graduates. He noted that thanks to such fairs, young people get acquainted with the real needs of the labor market and get the opportunity to communicate directly with institutions relevant to their specialties.
Professor Gulchohra Mammadova also emphasized that the role of cooperation between the university and partner companies and organizations in the development of AzUAC is undeniable. On behalf of the university, the rector expressed her deep gratitude to all partners for their contribution to this successful cooperation, expressing confidence that the relations will be further strengthened and expanded in the future.
Noting that the University will celebrate its 50th anniversary this year, the rector drew attention to the fact that the higher education institution was established on the initiative of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev: "AzUAC, always adhering to the strategic course of development defined by the Great Leader, attaches special importance to training highly qualified personnel for architecture, construction, urban development, transportation, economy and other important spheres of our country. The steps taken by our university in this direction, including modernization of the material and technical base, introduction of international experience in the educational process and development of digital skills, serve the successful realization of this mission".
In his speech, Khanlar Ganiyev, director of the Internship and Career Center, said the university produces more than 1,400 Bachelor's degree graduates and more than 400 Master's degree graduates every year. More than 80 percent of them find jobs in fields relevant to their specialization within the first year of graduation. He added that this year's Job Fair is attended by executives from more than 40 prestigious companies. This creates an important opportunity for students and graduates to have direct access to available jobs, including professional growth opportunities.
Other speakers, founder and CEO of Veysəloğlu Group of Companies Aydin Talibov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Education Development Foundation Elnur Nasibov, Deputy Director of PMD Projects LLC Ali Altunışık and Chairman of Azeristiliktejhizat Open Joint Stock Company Ilham Mirzaliyev also highly appreciated the opportunities created by the fair for youth and called on students and graduates to actively participate in the fair.
After the official opening of the fair, Rector, Professor Gulchohra Mammadova together with the guests familiarized with the stands presented at the Job Fair, talked to the representatives of the participating companies, inquired about the vacancies.
In addition to public and private organizations operating in the liberated territories, the fair was attended by representatives of SOCAR, Azerbaijan Railways CJSC, the State Agency of Azerbaijan Automobile Roads, the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture, the Azermemarlayiha State General Design Institute, the Education Development Fund, the Student Education Loan Fund, the State Real Estate Service, the Sustainable and Operational Social Security Agency (DOST), Azeristiliktejhizat OJSC, Azersu OJSC, Baku Design Center LLC, Dizayn Buro LLC, PMD Projects LLC, Azergold CJSC, Embawood LLC, Holcim, PROYAPI, Kapital Bank, Yelo Bank, International Bank, Veysəloğlu LLC, AzVirt LLC, Metak and other well-known companies. At the fair, the HR specialists of these enterprises provided extensive information on available vacancies and internship programs, and answered the questions of young people looking for work. Students and graduates received detailed information on the opportunities available to them and sent their resumes to suitable vacancies. The fair, which presented employment and internship opportunities to more than 1,500 young people, aroused great interest among the participants. It should be noted that the Institute of Control Systems of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan was represented at the exhibition by Senior Researcher Leyla Gadimova, PhD in Mathematics, and Junior Researcher, Chair of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of the Institute of Control Systems Lamiya Najafova.
