A meeting with Aliaksandr Birukou, Vice President for Eastern Europe at Springer Nature, was held at the Institute of Control Systems (ICS) of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan on May 15, 2025.

First, General Director of the ICS Academician Ali Abbasov told the guest in detail about the history of the Institute, main areas of its activity, such as theoretical and applied control problems, artificial intelligence technologies, study of socio-economic systems, and spoke about scientific research conducted at the Institute. The academician also provided information about the international conferences organized by the ICS, spoke about the existing cooperation in this area and the upcoming tasks.

Then A. Birukou shared his thoughts on the 4th International Conference on Logistics, Management and Operation in the East-West Transport Corridor (PLMO 2025) held on May 13-15, 2025 and dedicated to the 90th birthday of the Advisor of ANAS, Academician Telman Aliev, positively assessed the work of the conference and talked about the upcoming tasks.

In the course of the meeting, the possibilities of Springer Nature publishing international journals “Applied and Computational Mathematics”, published by the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Research Institute of Applied Mathematics at Baku State University, the Institute of Control Systems and the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, and “Informatics and Control Problems” of the Institute of Control Systems were discussed. There was also an exchange of views on the publisher supporting and organizing book exhibitions at international conferences and events organized by the ICS.
