
The 6th International Conference "Problems of Cybernetics and Informatics" has kicked off

The opening ceremony of the 6th International Conference on Problems of Cybernetics and Informatics (PCI 2025) was held on August 26, 2025, at the Institute of Control Systems of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ICS). The conference was organized by the Institute of Control Systems of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Institute of Information Technology of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ege University of Türkiye, the V.M. Glushkov Institute of Cybernetics of Ukraine, the Institute of Information and Computing Technologies of Kazakhstan, and the University of Thessaly of Greece.
The event was opened by ICS General Director Academician Ali Abbasov, who welcomed guests and touched upon the practical importance of the conference dedicated to current issues. Thanking the co-organizers, the academician wished the conference success in its work. The conference then continued with a panel discussion. Speakers on the panel included Academician Rasim Aliguliyev, General Director of the Institute of Information Technology of the Ministry of Education and Science, Aminaga Sadigov, Rector of Sumgayit State University, Professor Boris Mordukhovich of Wayne University (USA), Professor Orken Mamyrbayev of the Kazakhstan Institute of Information and Computing Technologies, and Professor Abzetdin Adamov of the International Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) (USA), who touched upon the importance of the conference.
The conference then continued with plenary sessions and sections.
It should be noted that the main purpose of the conference, which has been held in Baku since 1998, is to discuss existing scientific and practical problems in the field of cybernetics and informatics, bringing together representatives of research institutions, universities, international organizations, and the public and private sectors.
The conference, which will be held in a hybrid format and will run for three days, will be attended by representatives of the Azerbaijani scientific community, as well as scientists and researchers from various leading countries around the world, including Türkiye, Japan, Kazakhstan, Austria, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, the United States, Belarus, Slovakia, China, Georgia, Bulgaria, Montenegro, Greece, Hungary, Estonia, Cyprus, Australia, Latvia, the United Kingdom, France, Moldova, Belgium, Poland, Canada, Japan, Sweden, and other countries. A total of 240 papers were submitted to the international conference, of which 140 were accepted. Selected papers are planned to be included in the IEEE Xplore electronic library.
