National Information System "Scientific Personnel" launched

A presentation of the National Information System "Scientific Personnel" and a training seminar on the tasks of scientific institutions were held at the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS on 28 January 2020.
The event was attended by the first vice-president of ANAS, the director of the institute, Academician Rasim Alguliyev, Deputy Director for Science of the Institute of Control Systems (ICS) of ANAS Professor Oktay Nusratov, Academic Secretary of ICS Zahra Azizova, Head of the Human Resources Department of ICS Gulnar Guliyeva, and deputy directors for scientific affairs of institutions and organizations of ANAS, scientific secretaries and heads of human resources.

It was noted that monitoring and forecasting the scientific activity of ANAS in accordance with its potential, conducting analytical and statistical analyzes, preparing electronic reporting forms, ensuring the availability of scientific information and other issues made it necessary to create a unified electronic information system for scientific personnel. This is reflected in a number of state documents, including Decree No 785 of the head of state “On additional measures to improve the certification of scientific and scientific-pedagogical personnel in the Republic of Azerbaijan” dated 10 December 2018 and the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On Science”. The National Information System was developed in accordance with the listed documents, as well as Order No 131 of the President of ANAS of 12 March 2019

The National Information System has been successfully implemented as a pilot project at the Institute of Information Technology. A manual has been prepared for administrators and users of this system.
