A Memorandum of Cooperation and Joint Activities has been signed between Georgian Academy of Agricultural Sciences and Institute of Control Systems of ANAS on 15 January 2020.
The aims of the Memorandum are to carry out joint research and development activities for the  elaboration of various equipment used in agriculture and industry, developing mathematical models based on the concept of a systematic approach to solving problems in soil ecosystems, increasing their adequacy and applying research results to practical problems, application of the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Global Positioning System (GPS) and remote sensing for processing multispectral aerial photographs for the diagnostics of cultivated areas; rapidly mapping of insect infestations, development of pesticides use and fertilizer rules tied to the coordinates of the terrain (Precision Agriculture), furthermore, planning and implementation of projects intended to promote development of economies of Georgia and Azerbaijan.
