An event organized by the Women Council of ANAS on the occasion of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science was held at the Institute of Petrochemical Processes

An event organized by the Women Council of ANAS on the occasion of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science took place at the Institute of Petrochemical Processes named after Academician Y.Kh. Mammadaliyev on 11 February 2020.

The event was attended by the Director of IPP ANAS Academician Vagif Abbasov, Vice President of ANAS Academician Irada Huseynova, Chairperson of the Women Council of ANAS institutes Prof. Rena Mirzazadeh, Chairperson of the Women Council of the IPP Leylufar Aliyeva, Secretary Matanat Shahbazova, employees of the IPPP and Chairpersons of the Women Councils of various institutes of ANAS.

The meeting was opened by the Director of IPP ANAS Academician Vagif Abbasov.
Then the Chairperson of the Women Council of the IPP ANAS Prof. Leylufar Aliyeva informed the audience about the research activity of the women and girls working at the institute and their achievements.

Further, Mahruz Najafova, a member of the Women Council of ANAS, made a presentation on “Gender Perspective of Science in Azerbaijan”. Vice President of ANAS Academician Irada Huseynova, Academician Nail Velikhanli, Prof. Elmira Suleymanova spoke in detail about the role of women in science.

Deputy Chairperson of the Women Council of the Institute of Control Systems of ANAS, Aygun Aliyeva, PhD in Economics, also took part in the event.
