A regular meeting of the Science Council of the Institute of Control Systems (ICS) of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan was held on October 2, 2025.

The meeting was opened by the General Director of the ICS, Chairman of the Science Council, Academician Ali Abbasov, who informed the participants of the agenda.

Speaking on the first item on the agenda, A. Abbasov, on behalf of the institute's staff, wished the institute's chief accountant, Irina Ismayilova, a happy 65th birthday. He spoke about the professional career and noble human qualities of I. Ismayilova, who has worked at ICS for many years, presented her with a certificate of merit of the institute, and wished her further success.

Then, Head of the ICS's Education Department Sevinj Guliyeva, PhD in Mathematics, spoke on the approval of academic supervisors and dissertation topics for doctoral students enrolled into the institute's PhD program in 2025. The issue was discussed by the Council members, and the relevant decisions were made by open vote.

Next, ICS’s Academic Secretary Zahra Azizova spoke on the monograph “Artificial Intelligence Technologies in Assessing Country’s Social Sustainability” by second-year DSc program student Asif Aliyev, PhD in Economics.

Then, Acting Executive Director of ICS Associate Professor Elkhan Sabziev, DSc in Engineering, spoke on the preparation of reports on the scientific activities of laboratories for 2025. The Council members discussed the issue in detail and made the relevant decisions by voting.

In conclusion, a number of current issues on the agenda were considered.
