Head of department of the Institute of Control System participated in the meeting devoted to HORIZON 2020 at Azerbaijan Technical University

A project preparation control group will be established at the AzTU for successful participation of the university in projects financed by the European Union and other international organizations.
For this purpose, ICT&FET NCP of HORIZON 2020 EU Framework Research & Innovation Programme in Azerbaijan and head of "Foreign Relations and Innovations” Department of the Institute of Control System of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences T. Babayev visited AzTU. During the meeting, the prorector for science and technology Ilham Pirmamedov spoke about the advantages researchers get when joining the programme. The prorector pointed out that the university was interested in the programme and at the administration intended to take real steps to facilitate researchers’ activity in that area.

In his speech, Tofig Babayev stressed that grant projects of HORIZON 2020 EU Framework Research & Innovation Programme open wide possibilities to Azerbaijani researchers and gave information about the programme conditions. He also said that the AzTU had great scientific potential for participating in the programme.

The participants discussed establishing a work group for effective organization of working on projects and project management, as well as active participation of researchers in HORIZON 2020 EU Framework Research & Innovation Programme.
