An online meeting was held between the Institute of Control Systems and the Institute of Seismology and Atmospheric Physics of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan

Within the framework of the memorandum signed between the Institute of Control Systems of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences and the Institute of Seismology and Atmospheric Physics of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, an online meeting was held on 19 May 2020 to discuss the project "Smart system for noise monitoring of the initial period of earthquakes and warning about the zone of the earthquake focus".

Turkmenistan was represented at the meeting by the Director of the Institute of Seismology and Atmospheric Physics of Turkmenistan Guljamal Saryeva and leading researchers of the Institute. Azerbaijan was represented by the Director of the Institute of Control Systems Academician Telman Aliyev, Deputy Director Prof. Gambar Guluyev, Doctor of Engineering, and other researchers.

The participants discussed the action plan for the implementation of the project, in particular, the choice of location for RNM ASP stations in the Caspian coastal regions of Turkmenistan - Goturtepe, Cheleken, Barsagelmes, the creation of a mobile RNM station and a monitoring center and other issues.
