Regular general seminar of the Institute of Mathematics was held
04.03.2026 / Conferences, assemblies
A general seminar of the Institute of Mathematics was held on 04.03.2026.
The seminar was opened by Acting Director and Deputy Director of the Institute of Mathematics PLE Elkhan Sabziev, DSc in Engineering. He greeted the participants and emphasized the relevance of the seminar’s topic. He also noted that holding such scientific seminars regularly has a positive impact on strengthening the scientific environment within the institute, expanding cooperation among researchers, and advancing science through the discussion of obtained results.
Then, Senior Researcher Vugar Hashimov, PhD, made a presentation on "Optimal Control of a Nonlinear Dynamic Object with Memory-Based Feedback." The presentation was dedicated to the problem of synthesizing optimal control for an object whose state is described by a system of ordinary nonlinear differential equations. In the proposed approach, the synthesized control depends not only on the current state of the object but also on its states at previous moments in time. A formula for the linear dependence of the synthesized feedback control on these specified states was proposed. Within the scope of the research, analytical formulas were derived for the gradient components of the objective functional in the space of feedback parameters. The results of computer experiments and their comparative analysis were also presented to the seminar participants.
At the end, discussions were held on the topic, and the participants’ questions were answered.
