Presentation of the newly appointed Director of the Institute of Control Systems of ANAS

The presentation of the newly appointed Director of the Institute of Control Systems of ANAS took place on 14 December 2020.

Opening the meeting, First Vice-President of ANAS Ibrahim Guliyev first congratulated the participants on the Glorious Victory of the Azerbaijani people.

Referring to the ruling of the Presidium of ANAS dated 11 December 2020, Academician Ibrahim Guliyev announced that the Director of the Institute of Control Systems, Academician Telman Aliev had been relieved of his duties as the director at his own request and that by the ruling of the Presidium of ANAS, Corresponding Member of ANAS Aminaga Sadigov had been appointed to the position of Acting Director of the Institute, and T. Aliev  as an advisor to ANAS.

Then Ibrahim Guliyev introduced the newly appointed director, Corresponding Member of ANAS Sadigov Aminaga Bahman to the staff of the institute. In his speech, I. Guliyev noted that ICS ranks one the top three ANAS institutes in terms of scientific results, and noted Telman Aliev's great scientific and organizational abilities. He expressed confidence that the achievements of the institute would be continued and that Academician Telman Aliev would use his great scientific potential and experience as an advisor to ANAS to contribute to the future development of the Academy.

Then the floor was given to Academician Telman Aliev. In his speech, he first congratulated the participants on the glorious victory. Noting that the ICS plays a key role in the development of computer technologies and information technologies in our country, the academician emphasized that at present, research was being successfully carried out in the most advanced fields of science for the economic and military development of the republic. He noted that Corresponding Member of ANAS Aminaga Sadigov, who had grown as a scientist in this institution, was held in high esteem by the staff, and wished him success.

Then the floor was given to the Acting Director of the Institute Aminaga Sadigov. Aminaga Sadigov too noted that the Azerbaijani army had won a historic victory under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, and that scientists, like the entire Azerbaijani people, had rallied around the Supreme Commander-in-Chief. He stressed that it was important that the Institute for Control Systems, like other research institutions of the Academy of Sciences, work with even greater enthusiasm.

Expressing gratitude to the leadership of ANAS for their vote of confidence, A. Sadigov noted that he would preserve and develop the creative scientific environment created at ICS by Academician Telman Aliev. He also said that the short- and long-term scientific and scientific-organizational issues of the institute would be discussed in the coming days at an online meeting with the participation of Vice-President of ANAS, Chairman of the Department of Physical, Mathematical and Technical Sciences, Academician Rasim Aliguliyev.

Then Corresponding Member of ANAS Agasi Malikov, Professor Ilgar Mammadov and Professor Kamil Mansimov spoke at the meeting, noting Academician Telman Aliev's great scientific results and organizational abilities of and wishing him success in his new endeavors. The scientists thanked the leadership of ANAS for the new appointment, saying that A. Sadigov had been working very effectively at ANAS for a long time and had great scientific potential, and acknowledged A. Sadigov as a scientist and organizer with a broad outlook, and an objective person.
