The report of the Institute of Control Systems was heard
23.12.2020 / Conferences, assembliesA regular online meeting of the General Assembly of the Division of Physical, Mathematical and Technical Sciences (DPMTS) of ANAS devoted to annual reports took place on 23 December.
Opening the meeting, the Vice President of ANAS, Chairman of DPMTS, Academician Rasim Aliguliyev announced that the event was devoted to the results of research work carried out by the Institutes of Biophysics, Mathematics and Mechanics, Control Systems in 2020.
The Institute of Control Systems report for 2020 was presented by the acting Director of the Institute, Corresponding Member of ANAS Aminaga Sadigov. A. Sadigov noted that the research work of the Institute in the reporting year was carried out in the direction of the development of the non-oil sector as a result of the implementation of the Development Program of ANAS for 2020-2025, the commercialization of scientific results, the expansion of innovation, the introduction of scientific results, the development of rational research methods scientific and theoretical problems of information technology and the formation of an information society. He added that in the reporting year, the scientists of the Institute published 276 scientific works, including 2 books, 59 papers in Web of Science and 23 in Scopus. The published works were cited 389 times in the Web of Science database and 1321 times in the Google Scholar database during the year. In the reporting year, the Institute received 6 Eurasian and 2 Republican patents and implemented 6 projects based on the results of research work carried out at the Institute.
A. Sadigov said that the scientists of the institute put forward 14 proposals in the action plan for the tasks of ANAS in connection with research work in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan. He also informed the participants that in 2020, two projects presented by the institute have received grants.
In addition, A. Sadigov reminded that during the official visit of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow to our country on 11 March 2020, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Minister of Education of Turkmenistan signed the "Memorandum of Understanding between the Institute of Control Systems of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan and the Institute of Seismology and Atmospheric Physics of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan” in the presence of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow, and said that a joint project is planned for its implementation. He also noted the prospects for cooperation with the Arctic Academy of Social Sciences in the development of technologies for predicting accidents at oil and gas facilities.
Academician Telman Aliev said that the employees of the Institute had carried out preparatory work on the implementation of the project "railroad track safety", "early seismic warning system" along the East-West international transport corridor. He noted that a number of very important scientific results had been obtained at the Institute, which had been met with interest in foreign countries. Academician T. Aliev invited the scientists of the institutes participating in the meeting to be directly involved in these projects.
As a result, the General Assembly of DPMTS unanimously voted for the approval of reports on the results of scientific research conducted by the Institutes of Biophysics, Mathematics and Mechanics, Control Systems in 2020, and their submission to the Presidium of ANAS.
