On September 19-21, 2023, Head of the International Relations and Innovation Department of the Institute of Control Systems (ICS) of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Tofig Babayev, PhD in Engineering, and employee of the department Khalida Melikova took part in the 7th Polish-Georgian International Scientific and Technical Conference "Transport Bridge Europe-Asia" held in Kutaisi, Georgia.

 

 

In his speech at the opening ceremony, T. Babayev thanked the administration of Kutaisi Akaki Tsereteli State University, one of the organizers of the conference, and the organizing committee, and congratulated the participants on the 90th anniversary of the university. The scientist informed the participants of the event about the 2nd International Conference on Problems of Logistics, Management and Operation in the East-West Transport Corridor (PLMO 2023), which was held in Azerbaijan in May this year. At the end of his speech, T.Babayev gifted an Azerbaijani carpet to the rector of the university on behalf of the ICS.

 

 

At the conference, T.Babayev made a presentation on "Basic principles of digital transport corridors project development and analysis in the countries of Eurasia", and Kh.Melikova made a presentation entitled "CoST program: the leading portal for EU-funded research programs". During the visit, ICS employees held meetings with scientists from different countries, including Poland, Lithuania, Hungary, Uzbekistan and Georgia, and held talks on further cooperation. At the meetings, a preliminary agreement was reached with professors Rustam Ragimov and Yadgar of the State Transport University of Uzbekistan to conduct joint research work on monitoring the technical condition of the railroad bed during train movement.
